Weirdnyishisms

For my part, the rack, the gallows, and the torturing wheel shall be but sound sleep to me. Here's my rest; I limned this night-piece and it was my best.

I had a dream last night that a girl in the edu program at my college tied a weight (think anvil sized) to her hair and had someone throw her off a diving platform and into an indoor pool. But her hair was really long. So her legs floated up over the water and thrashed for a few minutes before she drowned. She was in a hospital gown. I never saw who threw her in. Just the arms. They looked like marble.

It’s said it takes seven years
to grow completely new skin cells.

To think, this year I will grow
into a body you never will

have touched.

This is so perfect. In a way, he never touched me.

opisthenar:

The five photographs taken by Elsie Wright and Frances Griffiths from 1917-1920 in the village of Cottingley, Yorkshire, England. In 1983 the two cousins admitted that the pictures were faked using paper cutouts; Frances, however, insisted that that the final photograph, showing a group of faeries gathering in the grass, was genuine. The girls also maintained that, although the photographs might be hoaxed, they still witnessed faeries dancing at the bottom of their garden. The pictures still continue to mystify and enchant people even today.

FairyTale: A True Story was based off this. I haven’t seen it in years but I remember loving it and I started building a lot of faery homes (out of really ugly coloured popsicle sticks) after. I should watch it again soon :3

We have far more than 87,000 rapes in this country every year, but each of them is invariably portrayed as an isolated incident. We have dots so close they’re splatters melting into a stain, but hardly anyone connects them, or names that stain. In India they did. They said that this is a civil rights issue, it’s a human rights issue, it’s everyone’s problem, it’s not isolated, and it’s never going to be acceptable again. It has to change. It’s your job to change it, and mine, and ours.
